What does a project cost?
It depends on the scope. After the free call you get a written scope with
either a fixed price or an hour estimate, so you know the cost before any
work starts. Nonprofit and grant-funded projects get a reduced rate.
Do you work with private landowners?
Yes. Alongside nonprofits and agencies, I work with farms, vineyards,
ranches, and other private land managers.
Do you only work in Washington?
No. Most of the work is done remotely, so location isn't a limit. If you're
in Washington, site visits and in-person presentations are also an option.
What data do I need to have?
Possibly none. Free public sources like satellite imagery, aerial photos,
and elevation data cover a lot of questions. If you do have field data,
spreadsheets, or GIS files, bring them and we'll put them to use.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the scope, and your written scope includes a timeline. If you
have a hard deadline, mention it on the call. Rush timelines are possible.
What if I'm not sure what I need?
That's what the free call is for. Describe the question you're trying to
answer, and I'll suggest what would actually help, even if it's not a
project with me.
